I'm totally loving the song 'Dream' by Priscilla Ahn. I first heard her on Jay Leno's show last night. Thomas can't fathom why I liked that song but refuse to listen to one of his favorite bands Iron and Wine. Two artists can be in the same genre and have similar sounding songs, but I'll favor one over the other. I don't see how that's weird or out there.
This song really soothes me though. It gives me warm, nostalgic feelings.
Yesterday our blow dryer blew up as I was using it getting ready for Wednesday night church service. Literally, it blew up. It gave off all kinds of blue and orange sparks while a horrid electrical burning smell filled my nostrils. Needless to say, I freaked and threw it on the counter while jumping back, and then commenced to frantically feeling my head to see if my hair had caught fire. It didn't, but it sure did give my heart a good jump. So now we're going to get one either tonight or tomorrow. The one we had was really old anyway. At least nine or ten years, methinks.
I look forward to Couples' Connection tomorrow. We're all heading out to the Country Barn for some good southern eatin' while fellowshipping.
I think we've been doing pretty good thus far in not spending on extra stuff we don't need. We've given in just a few times, but it's a huge chunk less than what we have been. Speaking of less, we have to switch Vincent back to his pricey Similac formula instead of the much more inexpensive Parents' Choice brand. He did good on it for the first day or so, but now it makes him constantly spit up. At least he's getting on more solids than formula. Well, more 50/50 instead of 90/10.
Oh, I was so mad a few days ago. I left my camera over at Sheila's house and that's when the most awesome storms with eye-candy clouds came in just asking to be photographed. Sometimes it seems I never have my camera on me when awesome weather hits. *sigh* At least my brother in law was over at our apartment and had his camera. I caught a few shots with his. I'm just waiting for him to send them to me so I can post them. We have risks of storms dotted throughout the next week so I'm sure to capture some colorful wind churning clouds at some point with my own camera.
Oy. My stomach has been kinda grumpy the past few days. Just feels blah.
Thomas gets off work here in thirty minutes or so.
I'll get going and tidy the house up and start supper.
