.Change In Plans and Restaurant Rant.

Well, we didn't go to Couples' Connection last night for supper at the Country Barn like I thought we would. At the last minute Thomas called me from work and said that Jonathan and Penny were stealing us instead. They wanted us to bring the Wii over so we all could play some tournaments and games. Sounded cool, so Thomas came home from work and packed everything up while I got ready and helped get Vincent ready.

Everyone was just going to have some take out, and Thomas and I couldn't decide on the same thing to eat. So I got Applebee's Carside To Go and Thomas got Chili's To Go. That was a nightmare. Right as we pulled up a lady came out and asked what the name on our order was. We told her and she went back inside. No one came back out for thirty minutes. Finally, a guy comes out and asks us again what the name was. Thomas told him again. He ran in for two minutes and then came back out and said "Oh, your order is at the other Applebee's." WHY didn't that woman come back out and tell us? Why did it take thirty minutes for someone to figure out that our order wasn't there and wasn't being made? I don't know. So we drive to the other Applebee's. They bring out my food instantly because it's been ready for a bit. It wasn't cold, but I checked my Dynamite shrimp as they were inside running Thomas' card and there was no sauce. Thomas showed it to the guy when he came back out and the guy just said "Oh, it's just mixed in." No it wasn't. I have that dish all the time at Applebee's, so I know how much sauce it's supposed to have. It was completely dry. Not even a little bit of a drop of sauce was on it. He tried to argue with me but I wouldn't have it. I'm not dumb. He went in and grabbed some extra sauce. Bah.. I knew there wasn't any sauce. It's real creamy and bright. How could he not see that there was none on there? Sorry, I'm going off on a tangent. Anyway, we then drive to Chili's for Thomas' food. He gets it, and the chicken was tiny. Like, they probably grabbed the bottom crumbly pieces and used those as strips. Thomas went back inside and showed them. That wasn't too bad because they were very apologetic and the manager even gave us two five dollar gift certificates on top of making the food again super quick.

After an hour of the food fiasco we finally get to Jonathan and Penny's house. Melissa and Wayne were supposed to show up but it ended up just being us four, with Bodie coming in for a bit to play some Wii as well. It was a very fun evening.

During our play they had a little ... not really a bouncer, but you set your baby down in it and they can turn themselves around and play with all the toys, gadgets and dangly things around the edges. Vincent loved it. He was in it for a little over and hour before getting bored. You guys don't understand how an hour can mean something in Vincent terms. Vincent gets bored very easily, and will only look at his mobile or stay on his floor gym for maybe 15 minutes if we're lucky. After that he's screaming for attention and we're stuck holding him for the next hour trying to entertain him. He was kicking his legs and moving back and fourth and hitting all the buttons and batting all the dangly things like he was having the time of his life while sitting in that thing. Thomas and I both agreed that once we get the money we're getting him a bouncer. We got a swing and he never liked it much. He gets bored with his floor gym too easily. That and he's rolling around and scooting himself across the floor now so he doesn't stay on the mat of the floor gym for long. I turn my head and he's halfway across the room. With a bouncer he can't scoot across the room and it'll keep him entertained and our arms rested. I just wish the bouncer that matches the rest of his theme wasn't so freaking expensive. We're going to hit up Childrens' Exchange and Once Upon A Child to see if they have the bouncer used but more inexpensive.

Anyway, the Wii night of fun and games lasted until 11:50 pm. I didn't want to stay up that late but it was fun nonetheless. We called it a night and came home. The Wii isn't ours, by the way. Our friend Kris is letting us borrow it for the time being because he never played it. We love it so much. At some point, if ever, I want to get one. That, along with a Super Nintendo system, and a Nintendo 64. Maybe I'll ask for them for Christmas.

I love Thomas' job. Because it's Fourth of July on Friday everyone is off for the holiday. I'm so glad he doesn't have a job anymore that stays open 24/7/365 with no holidays off unless your day off falls on one. Not sure yet what we're going to do. We'll probably call around and see what other people are doing.

Oh yeah, we got a new, sleek little hair dryer. It's black and really awesome. It's small travel-sized one like the last one we had. I can't stand the big blow dryers. Anyway, I love it so I thought I'd add a snipit about it.

*sigh* Well, the house is a mess again. I better go tidy since I didn't do it yesterday. Argh..
