.Moving in 10 Days.

The countdown is almost over. I can't believe in 10 days we're going to be in our new apartment.

I already have almost all of the non-important stuff packed, i.e. things that aren't necessary for every day living. All I have to do is get everything out of the closets and into boxes. Then the night before the move we'll pack all the food items and whatnot into bags and boxes and keep them in the fridge.

I'm so excited. This is the most beautiful apartment and we get to live there very soon.

Thomas is loving his job. He's a different person now. When he was working at the fiber glass plant he was always tired, came home dirty and cranky. I couldn't touch him until he showered because of the fiber glass shards he was covered in.. which was horrible because all he wanted was to collapse in my arms after a 12 hour shift of constant hard labor. Now he has a bounce in his step every morning since he doesn't have to get up before the sun comes up. He likes to look good, and stands in front of the mirror for a while to get his hair looking just right. I don't remember the last time he did that. I guess when your sleep schedule's thrown off and you work the entirety of your waking hours you seem to lose the desire to self maintenance. He dances off to work, comes home during lunch breaks (which he was never able to do at the plant) and then comes home in time for supper.

He's smiling when he comes home. He gets to spend time with Vincent because he's still awake when Thomas gets home from work. I get to hug him as soon as he walks in the door.

Thomas is happy. So I am happy.

Vincent has started a few solid foods! =3 Deborah, my mother-in-law, said that doctors tell you to wait until 6 months of age to give a baby solids, but from what I gathered from her and my own mother, that doesn't have to be the case. I was started on solids at 4 months, Thomas was started on solids at 2 months. So a few days ago Vincent got to try carrots as his first solid food a few days after 3 months. He was weirded out at first, but he really liked it. Two days later he got to try butternut squash and ate the whole jar in 20 minutes. Since it's two days later today I'm going to try giving him peas. Every two days I'm going to give him something new to try and give it to him once a day, and the rest of the day give him formula.

When we get moved into the new place I'm going to finally get to use my 'Magic Bullet' grinder set and make my own baby food so I won't have to waste money buying them from the store. He'll get freshly pureed fruit and veggies all the time. I never knew buying and making baby food was so exciting!

Haha.. my cats are loving the boxes we have stocked up in the living room and dining room. They have new perches to sit on and new hiding places to sit in. When we finish the transition to the new place I might keep one or two boxes by their Kitty Tree for their entertainment. (Yet I got them a Kitty House and they snub their noses at it. Go figure.)

Anyway, I need to get off the internet and get going on the rest of the packing. I'm beside myself with excitement.
