Bah. Alltell was pretty much the same price and had the same rates as AT&T. Plus they needed some pretty hefty deposits. We were looking at the Go Phones as well but in the long run it turned out we'd be paying more anyway. So, I'm going to upgrade my phone with AT&T, which means I'm stuck with them for another two years. Oh well.
While we were at AT&T I found out that we were getting charged an extra $20 a month from some company called FunMobile. We both have no idea how that happened, but AT&T said that it wasn't from them but they'd block the company for us so they can't charge us again. Awesome. We also fixed our plan up a bit more so that we weren't getting bombarded with so many fees and whatnot.
So Ma said she'd buy me a phone for my birthday (more like a late, late birthday gift since I never figured out what I wanted back in April), so I looked around and fell in love with the new LG slider phone called 'Shine'. Pretty sleek phone. Thomas is also getting an upgrade for his come September. It'll be a regular flip phone LG but he said he never wanted anything fancy in the first place. The phone he has right now is a Samsung, and it is crap. Everyone we know who has a Samsung says it craps out after a month or so and drops calls/turns itself off randomly all the time. He'll be happy for the change. Just two more months for him to wait.
We got a few things done while waiting for my mom to get home so I could get her to pay for my new phone over the phone with the woman at AT&T. One of those few things to do while waiting for my mom was using the $10 gift card Thomas' sister Sarah gave us at Best Buy. Couldn't use our $10 gift card for anything. You're crazy to think that you can buy something for ten bucks at Best Buy, well, unless it's a sleeve for an iPod Nano or something. iPod Nano I have not, so no spendy of card. That would be best used along with other gift cards and the like for something bigger. It'll be saved for a later date. We headed back to AT&T and I picked out a black LG Shine over the red and silver one. Man, that sucker is the raddest phone evar. You can take pictures that fit up to the size of your computer screen, with flash even! The sound is so crisp and clean, too. I can't wait to send a good background picture and some good music for ring tones to it.
