.Fourth of July.

Yesterday was pretty fun. We went to Thomas' mom's house and ate barbecue, played Wii, and watched Batman Begins. I never saw that movie until yesterday. For the longest time I thought it was going to suck, but man, I found out I've been missing out. That movie was so freaking rad. I'm sorry I ever doubted Christian Baile's ability to rock my socks playing Batman. They should have done more with Scarecrow though. He had the potential to be awesome, but he had a very small part and had a sucky exit in the movie, lol. He didn't die, so here's hoping they make him come back in a different movie? Bah, he didn't have a big part in the Batman comics, so I pretty much have empty hopes for that happening.

Aside from going into the Batman Begins detour, it was pretty fun. For a while I got bit by a small drawing bug and actually drew with pencil and paper. It's been SO long since I've done that. I've gotten rusty, being spoiled by drawing on the Wacom only. I don't know how many times I tapped the table with my two fingers in the form of Ctrl Z. Bah. I don't think I've ever erased so much. I need to get back into traditional media before I lose the ability.

After eating and getting Wii'd and movie'd out Thomas and I packed up Vincent and headed off to John Stiff Park to catch up with Jonathan and Penny. After finding a parking spot we found them and a bunch of other people from church in a huge group on the grass. After a while the fireworks started and they were gorgeous! Vincent watched and seemed mesmerized. The grand finale was most awesome.

It took us almost an hour to go four blocks to get home. Insanity. I hate traffic.

My mom is slowly starting to feel better about what happened to her chickens. I'm glad. I hate seeing her so sad. Everyone abandoned her last night to go watch fireworks though, so she just sat outside and spent time with the dogs. I sent her a picture of some fireworks to make her feel better. Ma's been getting the short end of the stick like crazy lately. I hope that things look up for her soon.

I'm working on a few drawings right now. I have so many W.I.P's it's ridiculous. I keep getting bored with them. I pull one up, blow the dust off of it, work on it for three minutes, and then it goes back and collects dust for a few more months before I come back to it again. Blarg. Maybe when someone finally grabs a commissions slot I'll be inspired.
