I woke up at 11:09 am this morning. Maybe because I didn't sleep until almost four last night due to watching a movie. I -hate- sleeping in. I really do.
Thomas' mom took Vincent so we could have a night off from parenting. It was pretty cool. Thomas' brother Jonathan came over a little after they left to spend the night with us. He wanted to watch a movie so we headed out to Walmart and found Pan's Labyrinth, along with goodies to munch on and drinks to chug. (Don't worry, I'm not giving away spoilers here.)
Most. Depressing. Movie. Ever.
Not to mention overly packed with violence and gore. Holy crap!
And the monsters (the few in it) were creepy as all crap. I was paranoid one of them was going to be waiting for me around every corner after the movie ended.
It is DEFINITELY not for kids, I tell you what.
If someone were to ask me to describe the movie... I honestly wouldn't know what to say. It's one of those movies where you leave wondering "How the crap am I supposed to feel after that?"
The movie is not about what you think it's about. I'll leave it at that.
It was still fun to hang out with Jonathan once before he gets shipped back off to California for more military training. Anyway, I'm going to wake everyone up. It's 15 minutes until 12:00, I think they all slept in long enough. =)
